Exit by Text is a photo/story exhibit experience that raises viewers’ awareness about the dangers of driving while under the influence of a cell-phone. This eight-piece traveling exhibit shares three different perspectives on lives irrevocably changed due to an ill-timed text or cell phone use. Each perspective differs according to their involvement, i.e., driver, passenger, parent.
Though sobering, these survivors tell it like it is. Engaging and personal, they reach the hearts and minds of the viewers. Their paths changed forever, these survivors show the rest of us how to courageously move forward, teaching us how to gracefully handle life's intense challenges. They do it in hopes of saving our life.
The “Exit by Text” Exhibit is ideal for middle and high-schools, universities, conferences, business that rely on drivers, and for communities that have recently experienced a loss due to distracted driving. Viewers receive a research-based fact sheet on what is known about the impact of cell phone use on our brains and our lives when mixed with driving.
Assemblies/Speakers: Exit by Text speaker Curtis Baugh inspires and educates audiences by sharing his own story. (See video).
Sponsorship Opportunities: Companies and organizations can partner or underwrite “Exit by Text” to bring the Exit by Text experience to local schools or events.
